Level 1 Charger
Prius Prime comes standard with a Level 1 charger that allows you to plug into any standard 120V outlet. Bring it along wherever you go or hide it away nicely when not in use by storing it in the rear cargo compartment.
Cargo Space
Open Prius Prime’s rear hatch to reveal ample cargo room for your belongings. If you need more space, fold down either side of the 60/40 rear seats to adapt to your needs. Fold them both down to maximize space, and you'll be surprised at how much you can bring along for the ride.
All-Electric Driving Range
With a fully charged battery, Prius Prime has a manufacturer-estimated all-electric driving range of up to 44 miles. 14 Plug into a standard outlet or Level 2 charger and, with a full charge, you can deliver power for most of your commutes.
2.0L Hybrid Engine
All the range without the anxiety. While Prius Prime’s hybrid engine and electric motor seamlessly work together to provide maximum efficiency, it will continue to run on its 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid engine when your charge runs low, with up to a manufacturer-estimated 52 combined mpg rating. 15

Prius Prime’s Hybrid Synergy Drive® system helps maximize output from both the gas engine and electric motors. With 220 horsepower, it has plenty of power and gets quick off the line with a 0-60 mph time of 6.6 seconds. 16
Remote Connect
Toyota's available Remote Connect 12 feature allows you to access select vehicle capabilities and monitor vehicle status all through the Toyota app. 17 Remote Connect’s Digital Key 11 capability allows you to lock and unlock doors and start and stop the engine when it senses your smartphone nearby. 1-year trial for Remote Connect 13 included. Subscription required after trial. 4G network dependent.

Advanced Park
Designed to assist you with parallel parking or backing into a parking space, available Advanced Park 18 is there for you with the touch of a button. This hands-free parking system uses cameras and sensors, along with controlling steering, acceleration and braking to help you get into that perfect spot.
Traffic Jam Assist
This driver-assistance feature helps ease the burden of the stressful stop-and-go of a traffic jam by providing control of the vehicle steering, braking and acceleration at speeds under 25 mph. 19 This system is designed for limited-access roadways, and with the driver monitor camera confirming the driver's eyes are on the road, hands-free operation is possible. Traffic Jam Assist requires an active Drive Connect trial 20 13 or subscription.
Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
Available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) 7 with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) 8 is designed to help look out for your safety. Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) warns you when a vehicle in the next lane enters Prius Prime’s blind spot on either side of the vehicle. And when you’re in reverse, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) helps detect vehicles approaching from either side, warning you with side mirror indicators and a warning tone.
Safe Exit Assist
By using radar sensors inside the rear bumper, Safe Exit Assist 21 helps detect approaching vehicles or bicycles from the rear. If the system determines that there may be a collision with a door opening, Safe Exist Assist can provide an audible alert, as well as a visual alert on the side mirrors.

Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) 23 is designed to help detect a vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcyclist and provide an audio/visual forward-collision warning under certain circumstances. If you don’t react, the system is designed to provide automatic emergency braking.
Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) 24 is an adaptive cruise control system that is designed to be set at speeds above 20 mph and uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to help maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.
Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist
When white/yellow lane markings or certain road-edge boundary lines are detected at speeds above 30 mph, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) 25 is designed to issue an audio/visual lane-departure warning if an inadvertent lane departure is detected. If the driver does not take corrective action, the system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering for lane-keeping assistance.
Lane Tracing Assist
When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) 24 is enabled and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) 26 uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to provide active driving assistance and help keep the vehicle centered in its lane. While LTA is activated, the Emergency Drive Stop System (EDSS) 27 is designed to monitor the driver's inputs, such as steering operation. If the EDSS determines the driver is not attentive and the driver does not respond to prompts to resume control of the vehicle, it can bring the vehicle to a stop under certain conditions.
Road Sign Assist
Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) 28 is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Automatic High Beams
Automatic High Beams (AHB) 29 are designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 21 mph. The AHB system is designed to detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of preceding vehicles, then automatically toggle between high and low beams accordingly.
Proactive Driving Assist
When system operating conditions are met, using the vehicle’s camera and radar, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) 30 provides gentle braking into curves or gentle braking and/or steering to help support driving tasks such as distance control between your vehicle and a preceding vehicle, pedestrian or bicyclist.
